Hit Counter Modesto-Stanislaus Newsletter
February 2008

This will be a rather lengthy newsletter as there are quite a few things that need to be covered.

Board of Directors meeting will be at my house, Thursday, Feb. 7th, at 6 PM.  This meeting is required as part of our incorporation.  If you are interested in attending, or have some item you would like us to cover, please email me ASAP

Practices for water polo will begin on February 19th from 5:00 to 6:30, Tuesday and Wednesdays.  General information can be found on the MSWP home page at the summer section.  Fee structure changes.  We will be running this year from February to the end of July.  The dues for polo will be $200 for the entire time if you sign up by the end of March.  Those who sign up after March 31st will find that the dues will have risen to $250 for the summer.  So, please sign up now and save yourself some money.

Calendar You will notice that we have a new feature on the intro page of the website.  The calendar will be updated as we get new information.  The calendar will not only reflect MSWP activity, but also MSA, and general Johansen pool usage.

New Swim Program  Begin April 1st, Modesto-Stanislaus will increase the scope of our program to include a competitive recreational component.  The purpose of this program is to have a program in town that will encourage new kids to come out and become a part of aquatics.  It will take in ages 5 all the way up to 18.  The program will be conducted by Jeff Hanson.  The fee structure has not yet been developed, but when we do we will post all information within the swim team section of our website.  If you have questions on this, please contact me.  We are looking for COACHES who would be interested in working with little kids.  If you are interested in a job, please contact me ASAP

Future Trips  One of the reasons that the New Zealand trip did not materialize revolves around the downturn of the economy and the fact that individuals did not step up when deadlines were given.  Once again we have been invited to travel in the summer of 2009.  Stan Sprague and his SoCal team will be going to JAPAN mid summer 2009, and he has invited 12 BOYS to go from our club as a team.  I will be putting more information on this later on.  For the GIRLS I am exploring a trip to Europe, but this also is in the formation stage at this time.
