Pick-up games I apologize for not notifying all that there appeared to not be enough interest in the pick up games on Sundays to start the program. CIF does not allow high school coaches to be involved in this type of activity, I had lined up other individuals to oversee it, but with limited response we have canceled this activity.
New Zealand I have forwarded a message to all regarding the flier I received for the new Zealand trip. It appears that we are responsible for our own airfare and the packages revolve around our stay in New Zealand. I do not have a good idea of the airfare at this time, but I am sure we need to get our numbers verified at this time, and secure our seats. I have received many emails of interest in this trip, but now we will have to start counting heads that are fairly committed. Therefore we are going to establish November 10th as the date for placing a $200 on the trip per person. I WILL NOT cash these checks until I am sure we have sufficient interest to proceed. Please send the checks to me at the club address, 2352 Rosebrough Ct., Turlock, 95382 - and make the checks payable to MSWP, Inc.
Beginner games. We will be hosting a game for our beginners on Sunday from 11 to 2. We are hoping that we will be able to hold a couple of more events before the conclusion of our free clinic. The number of participants has been very encouraging, and we hope that all will continue with us when the spring program begins in early March.
High School This is the concluding month for high school water polo. Section play will begin early in November. Western States which features EIGHTY-FIVE girl teams from throughout Northern and Central California as well as Oregon will be held October 12,13 throughout Stanislaus County. We will be playing over 200 games in two days. If you are one of our younger players this is a great opportunity to see some GREAT water polo. The DeLong Tournament for varsity boys will be held the following Friday and Saturday at Johansen and Pitman. This tournament features 42 teams, also from throughout Northern California and Oregon.
