It's July and it's hot, just like our teams!

Congratulations to the Girls 16-under and 18-under and to the Boys 16-under and 18-under teams for qualifying for Junior Olympics.

• Boys 16's and 18's are playing at Merced College Saturday (July 15th)  The 14's will be at Atwater High [this location is tentative]  Game times will be up at the pool the middle of next week.

Important Junior Olympic information

BOYS
2006 Junior Olympic Boys 18u and 16u Information

The Modesto-Stanislaus Water Polo Club 18u and 16u boys teams have qualified for the National Junior Olympics.  This USA Water Polo tournament will be held July 29 through August 1 in Claremont California.  

Hotel arrangements have been made for the team only for July 28^th through July 31^st.  The team will be staying at:

If you are planning on attending the event with your son, you can contact the hotel directly regarding additional availability.  You can also find a list of other hotels in the area on the USA Water Polo website –http://usawaterpolo.com/

Each player will be responsible for paying $205.00 towards the cost of lodging, entry fees, and team T-shirts.  Checks should be made payable to MSWP (Modesto Stanislaus Water Polo). MSWP has ordered team suits for the JOs at a cost of $30.00 per player.  Stephanie Giahos (Steve’s mom) is coordinating the purchase.  Each player should bring a separate check (made out to Stephanie Giahos) or cash to practice and give to Steve Giahos (Chief) by Thursday July 13, 2006.  If you have any questions regarding suits, contact Stephanie at 988-9143.

Travel Information:  Each player is responsible for their own transportation to and from Ontario / Claremont.  Since the competition schedule begins early Saturday July 29^th, all players must arrive by Friday evening July 28^th. Once there we will organize transportation to and from the competition sites.  Games will be scheduled between five different local pool sites. 

Each player should also bring money for meals / food.
