MSWP Newsletter: June 2004At this time we have 91 athletes signed up for the summer program. We are still expecting around another 50+ to join us once their school year ends. We have been notified that the following teams will most likely be going to Florida this summer for Junior Olympics. We have made the initial cost projection at $650 per athlete. We had requested that deposits be turned in by June 2nd. Those athletes who made that deadline are assured that they are going to travel in late July. We have entered the following teams - Boys - 16 and under and 18 and under - Girls - 14 and under, 16 and under and 18 and under. Rosters can have no more than 13 players listed. It is the concern of the staff that we may have more than 13 athletes who may want to go in some of the age groups. Again, those players who turned in deposits in on time are assured spots, for the additional spots, the staff will have to make decisions on who will make the final roster. For the upcoming tournaments, we will use the same procedure we did last year. We will post on the pool door the tournament, and the age groups. Athletes are to sign in on the ones they are planning to play in. The host teams do not give us the game schedules until mid week prior to the tournament so you would need to be sure to establish a way to get the info for times, etc. Following are the tournaments that are coming up Boys Girls If parents are intending to go to Junior Olympics please let me know RIGHT AWAY !!!!!!!! Beginning on the 14th practices will go to our summer schedule Boys Time: 8 to 10 Monday at Johansen Tues., Wed., Thurs. at Pitman Girls Time: 5:15 to 6:30 ALL beginners and selected newer players at Johansen 6:30 to 8:15 Remainder of players at Johansen Monday through Thursday Any questions, please contact Brent Bohlender |
